Every day around 50,000 domains are deleted from the domain registries, because they weren't renewed.
These deleted or dropped domains then become available for anyone to register.
Many of the dropped domains are automatically registered by tasters, who try-out the domain for a few days to see if it has value to them.
Many of the tasted domains are dropped again after a few days, many may then be tasted by someone else...
Subscribers to The-Things can access daily list of expired domains, and search for those that may be of interest using our advanced search options. All domains have been checked to see if they have pages listed in Google,
Those that are listed in Google are checked for Google PageRank, links in Google, pages in Yahoo, links in Yahoo, pages in MSN, Wayback pages, alexa ranking....
For our Gold members we maintain a list (typically thousands) of recently dropped domains that are listed in search engines and are available to register!
The data for each domain is gathered one or two days before they expire, but any result can be checked immediately by simply pressing the refresh button by the column.
Subscribers can select domains to watch in a private watch list. Each domain in the watch list is checked automatically for availability every few hours, The-Things will send you an email
if one of your watched domains becomes available, and/or automatically register the domain for you.
The-Things is NOT a backorder service, we will not be able to catch domains as they first drop, however we will be able to catch domains after they have been tasted
Below you can see an example list of domains that expired 10 days ago, that have more than 50 pages in the Google index, sorted in that order.
To perform other searches, access the lists for other days, or quickly see if a domain is available you need to Sign-Up and Subscribe.
